We are preparing to work with our first Toshiba Strata system (Model: CHSUB672A).
Presently searching the web for the manual.

I need to add a BDKU1 8-Port Digital Station Card to a system having 2) BDKU1 digital sta cards, and 1) BSTU1, with a couple open slots.



My questions:
- Is any programming required to install/add a BDKU1 board?
- Is this system programmed by a connected PC with proprietary software, or in terminal mode?
- Can the BDKU1 be plugged in any slot, or only certain slots?

Page 6-7 of the installation manual has the answer. If you do not have the manual I HIGHLY suggest you obtain one prior to installing the card.

A 20 button display phone might also come in handy

I found the CTX670 installation manual(2004)., now I'm hoping to find the Toshiba CTX Winadmin software..

Firstly you only have 1 spare slot S107, the slot on the left hand side is NOT spare as it is only used when you have an expansion card (BEXU) installed for the CPU.
Secondly we dont use WinAdmin software and good luck finding anybody with it now, you will need Network eManager software.
Thirdly If you have never worked on a Toshiba CTX/CIX then you would be better getting someone to do the programming for you remotely while you hook up the wiring physically.

here is very little things in Toshiba that is plug and play. You will need to add the card into programing, create extensions, program the extensions, and then create voicemail boxes on that IPV8 if they want voicemail.It will be easier once you get Network eManager installed and working.

Also the IVP8 voicemail is not managed by eManager at all, so if you need to manage mailboxes or the auto attendant you will either need another piece of software, plus a serial connection connection.

Or just get someone local to do it for you it will save you a heap of time and headache

Come on guys it really not that hard to program. Edward my suggestion is to get network emanager installed and connect to the system. You need to find out if you will need licenses to add basic stations. Next consider using a BWDKU 16 port card replacing a BDKU this will save cabinet slot space. We offer remote support to help you program the system but you will need to understand the block terminations. We also have network programmers so you can access the IVP8 to add mailboxs.
