I am running into a weird issue setting up outcalling. When i program it with my cell (local) it works just fine. When i go to a long distance number the call doesn't go out.
I have checked line assignment, call restrictions etc. When i dial the long distance number manually it works fine.
Any thoughts??

We use that, I think there are some restriction in VS. Check in mailbox settings. Or line settings. Sorry can't be more helpful.

Check to see if the last port (or last 2 ports if you have a 6 port VM) are restricted - #302, #307, #315, #401, #405
Put an auto-intercom button on a phone for the port that will do the outcalling, so you can see it go off hook. Does it actually grab a line? Put your buttset on the CO line in monitor, leave a message, and observe if it dials out, and what happens to the call.

Well we ended up programming it to dial the long distance call without the 1 (it's time warner cable) and it worked.
Crazy thing is if we picked up intercom dial tone, dialed 9, paused then dialed 1-585-xxx-xxxx it worked just fine. So did 9, pause, 585-xxx-xxxx.
