I have a newer client who has a UC540 installed by a previous IT vendor. My client has been having random issues that I believe are SIP provider (Nexvortex) related and not through the UC540 device. I would like to setup some remote monitoring of their device so I can verify what problems it is seeing. What is the best way for me to go about this? Setup a remote syslog server and have it dump logs offsite so I can investigate?
Also, what about some type of alerts that are easy to understand for my client? Like e-mail alert that SIP trunk down so my client knows it isn't them, that its their SIP provider. Their SIP provider doesn't appear to have any online status page that I can check when my client calls me saying their phones are down.
Thanks.
