I'm receiving more and more complaints about the quality of speakerphone calls, specifically clipping on SBX systems dating as far back as three years. The latest instance appears to be port-related since they've tried three phones at the same location. Is there any kind of easy fix for this or are we just stuck with it?

Ed, by chance, do they have the speaker volume maxed out at 12?

I seem to remember tinkering with the Gain settings to get this to work. With the volume set at 12, it still wasn't loud enough, and the audio clipped with the volume set that high.

Hi Ed,

Yes there have been post about the settings to do and not maxing out the speaker. That being said I think the speakerphone is not that good

Speakerphone is not necessarily the cause of the clipping. You may need to adjust the nation specific volume settings specifically co (ACOB) line to speaker (DTI_SPK). PGM 411 Default is 37. Try setting it at 30.

Its best to do this with the pc admin programming and changes do not take effect until after KSU reset.
