We have a number of monitors for our system. Is the service running, did this alarm show up in the avdap logs, and so on. Those are good for the servers, but do nothing for the cabinets. We recently had a power supply partially fail and system lock which required the cabinets to be power cycled. Is there any way of monitoring the status of the cabinets?
In answer to the question of why we had to power cycle the cabinets: CPS and VPU were up with services running. Our T1 cards were showing alarms. The system was repeatedly reseting on its own. Attempts to enter DB Programming were momentarily successful before communication would fail and the application would shut down. System resets and reboot of CPS and VPU changed nothing. Everything worked after the three cabinets were power cycled.
