I've been asked to look at the feasibility of moving an IPO 403 from one building to a larger one. What is the maximum number of analog extensions that it can handle? I'll need one 8-port digital extension expansion box too.
Also, where is a good place to find used analog extension expansion boxes? Thanks, Terry

On a 403 you can add (3) expansion mods. So if you need (1) for a digital exp mod then you could add (2) analog (30's) giving you a total of (62) analog ports.
But, as I'm sure you already know. That 403 is pretty old and if it where me I would strongly consider upgrading before putting much money into it.

Mike is correct, now is the time to upgrade. Not as costly as you may think. When I went to IP office class I remember being told the 403 would handle 3 exp units and the 406 6 exp mods, the 412' 12 exp units.

Thanks guys! We're upgrading a system that makes the 403 "nearly new" by comparison. We'll get to replace this some day soon I hope.
