I have a problem where we have loop start trunks if we have a PRI in place we do not seem to have the problem with the messages getting cut off. It may drop the recording after a couple of seconds or it may be 2 minutes into the message. The volume of the caller is at a resonable level. The outside caller has no knowledge of the call being cut off. They hang up thinking that they have left a message. We have made the adjustments per the manufacturer and we continue to have the problem. We have adjusted the silence threshold to 30 from the default of 160. We did this in steps 80, 60, 30. It seems to make no change. Any one else seen this problem before?

Ok, do you have a WiCMC or a uCMC? It could be the Coral is picking up something on the analog trunk that it's detecting as a disconnect signal from the CO. I would check your analog lines to make sure they are programmed correctly.

Check PDB, CDB, and TRK

Make sure they are set for loop start and the card is strapped for loop start. You MAY have to adjust the disconnect timing interval to match the co if the co is doing it correctly. Make SURE to check the lines with a buttsett and if possible a meter to detect the disconnect timing.

Wicmic UM why do you have to announce through the telephone before the message will play. Any workaround. Appreciate

We have adjusted the PDB to 600. The manufacturer has looked at the programming and have given there blessings. All cards are strapped correct and it is set for Loop Start.

Were the gains on the trunks ever changed from the default?
When testing shut off the CO Disconnect on all loop trunks. see if the problems stop.(may create a never release problem but it will determine switch or vmail)
Do the calls come in on analog after the PRI is busy? If they do, Check the higher ports on the voicemail. maybe one of your higher ports on the vm have a problem and your only seeing it when the trunks and ports are being used.

The gains were changed in troubleshooting the problem with support but the volume is ok on the trunks. NO PRI at this site only loop start trunks. We have the carrier trying to put CO disconnect on the lines now.

Never heard of that unless you are having the system call you to listen to the message. Is that what you are doing?

I had this problem on another type of system (toshiba CTX) Come to find out the provider installed Loop start lines from a CO switch that is usually used for residental ( that is what they said after we showed the issue was there's). We can get either a D tone for disconnect or voltage spike to disconnect. Once they changed their settings, boom. everything was fine.

WICMC can be set to call your phone to play the message or play thru the speakers of the computer or laptop the UM resides on. You can find this under Tools Voicemail options in outlook if that is what you are using or options in the Viewmail software.
