I have an IDS 42 (4x8) system that has problems with sluggish lines. If a set accesses a CO line and hangs up within a few seconds after accessing it, the relay in the KSU will reset the line as usual but the system will still register the line as being in use. The only way to drop the line is to go into the system setup and reset the port. Is this a configuration or system malfunction? Thanks.

There is an option on the M screen for this. It is called Disable Auto Fault. This is designed so that if a trunk is accessed and not dialled,it removes the line from service assuming that the line is bad.The more you do it,it will remove the trunk for a longer period of time.Just turn the option off.
