Maybe you call it CPC or Disconnect Supervision, or maybe even some other name, but here's the challenge.

From an Auto Attendant utilizing an analog Dialogic 4 port card to interface to the Unisyn's analog ports. If a caller makes no DTMF input, we prefer to send the call to the humans. Without disconnect supervision signalling, there is no way to tell if it was "No DTMF" or a hangup caller.

We have toggled it both ways so far, neither meeting the happy level for the end user. When it was "disconnect on no input", end user was concerned calls would be missed from "older" patrons. Changed it to transfer to human on no DTMF, and the end user complains about answering "if you'd like to make a call" or reorder tone rings.

So, to surmize my dilemna, is it possible to have a Unisyn communicate with Dialogic for a disconnect?

How is your PBX Srings tab setup?

To be honest the Comdial Unisyn used a proprietary VM so setting up a Dialogic may not get the results you are looking for, you'll just have to play with it, all my Unisyn's are long gone.

proprietary voicemail? only vm I ever did on a Unisyn was a KeyVoice, as generic as it got, and it worked well.
