I have a Norton Telecom Meridian #NT8B20Af-03 with about 14 extension. All the phones have a lock on Voice mail. We can retrieve this feature. When attempted, FlashTalk appears. Voice mail comes up Inactive.
Anyone know if unpluging the mail Voice mail box would reset the system?

Not for sure what you mean by "lock on voice mail".What are you dialing when you get the inactive display.Dial "feature 985" and see if the voice mail DN is displayed. Have you had a power failure. You can power down the Flash to see if it will reset, leave it unplugged for a few minutes. It will take it a few minutes to load when you plug it back in.

To clarify, when I attempt to retrieve a message. Function 981, Flashtalk would appear and I could not eter a password.
I tried to unplug the voicemail component for less than a minute. Now after inputung 981, I get password, but unable to enter original password nor enter a new one.
Would you suggest unplugging for a few minutes the electrical plug? Since I only did it for 5 seconds?
Thank You for your assistance. TV

Any suggestions to access messages since password is not accepted? Invalid Password is the response.

You will have to reset password. You should have received a coordinators book with the voice mail that will walk you through this. press feature 983 at log prompt enter 120000 or 1020000(if these do not work, the password has been changed and you will have to find it) press softkey under MBOX enter mailbox number press softkey under change at reset password prompt press OK it will reset the password to 0000(4 zeroes) press release you will have to change password the first time you log into your mailbox.
