NR-100's don't need an amp, it's just a connection to superimpose ringing over the audio pair. You still can use it with Valcoms.

Carl Ok. So, I'm still wondering if it's not a good idea to twist together two outputs (both external page from PBX, and NR-100) to the powered PA speaker input. Does anyone think those two outputs will fight with each other or anything? Alternatively, what if I tied the PBX page output to the NR-100 BGM source? Then the single Amp output from the NR-100 to the powered PA speaker input...

you can bridge the bgm/paging output of a KX to line tr on 24volt sound powered horns and the paging input of wheelock,valcom/bogen amp with its own speakers we just did this recently at a car dealer. thats how we isolated bgm the outdoor horns do not have music.

Carl Ok, I ended up corresponding with Bogen earlier. Here's what they suggested: -Take the PBX Page output and connect it to the "BGM Source" terminals on the NR-100 -Take the analog extension output and connect it to the "TEL RING" terminals on the NR-100 -Take the "AMP INPUT" terminals on the NR-100 and run them to the self-amplified PA horn input
