Working on a MICS that has Release 1 T1 software cartridge in it. It also has one trunk module and one station module added to it as well. This customer wants to add caller ID to the system. All of the cards in the system are CI trunk cards, but from what I read this software version does not support caller ID. I do have a 7.1 software lying around but am not sure on the upgrade process. What is the proper upgrade path to get to 7.1 from this current release? I would like to keep current programming intact if possible rather than wiping out and starting from scratch. Thanks.

That's going to be a lot of upgrading. I think you would have an easier time just starting from scratch and reprogramming.

I second the start from scratch. It will save you the wasted time of an attempted upgrade migration and a corrupt database.

After weighing the pros and cons, I think a do-over from scratch may be the best solution as well. Thanks for all the input.
