Never had an Amanda SoHo with a Partner that had two company greetings so I'm stumped.

When lines five to ten ring, the 990 & 991 greeting plays.

When lines one to four ring, some mailbox somewhere answers with a different greeting. I tried guessing at mailbox numbers, 890 &891, etc. but nothing turned up.

Can you tell me what program I am looking for to see where lines one to four ring unanswered?

Thanks, Bracha Sarah

That programming has to be in the Amanda? .... you can tell which analog ports are programmed to ring on the partner by going into central tel programming and see which extensions ring on those lines. But that will only deliver calls to the voice mail .... what it does with those calls has to be in its' programming??

Could they be going to an Extensions mailbox? If so that would be line ownership inside the partner.

I doubt that old Amanda supports Partner line ownership. Your problem is definately with the Amanda. You have to find somebody who knows it.

Thanks, I am fine doing Amandas, but I can't figure out how the Partner sends some lines to one standard greeting at 990/991 and then other lines to some other greeting.

With a Samsung digital, the call is passed to the vm with a line ID and the vm system knows to play which recording for that line.

Is there something like this in the Partner ACS 4.0?

What program would Partner Line Ownership be?

Thanks, Bracha

nope ..... the partner simply sends the calls to the Amanda via an analog station port ..... again you can use central tel programming and determine which extensions those are (or look at the physical wiring).

line ownership is #208 ..... i know the active voice lingos would integrate with the Partners and i believe it supported line ownership so that may be it.

Thanks, Bracha

I know we have done this with the same setup for customers but we usually dedicate a phantom to it. So we will do #206,#208 set the line(s) to do a VM cover and put an extension high in the range then have that phantom extension's vm be the main menu for the second company.
You need to make sure #310 is set and #321 has the right amount of rings that you want to use.

When onsite I found that in #206, lines 1 to 4 were set at group 7 and 3 (always) but there was no forwarding for lines 6 to 10 and the lines were not in groups 1 to 6.

I am at a total loss as to how the other six lines are being sent to the same voicemail extensions and all lines ring at all phones so I can't see that any one extension would pick up after 3 rings and then send it to the voicemail with some ID code.

Any more ideas how the other six lines are going to a separate greeting on the Amanda SoHo?

Did you look at #208 for the lines as well? That is call coverage, which sends the call to voicemail with a mode code to indicate which mailbox should answer.
