the door should just come right off , being a used E bay purchase I wonder if someone put some silicone or something on the door for waterproofing . I would pry with a knife blade or other thin tool Yeah I think this is what happened. The battery door will not budge. I'll try a knife or something to wedge it loose, hopefully without destroying it.
