Anyone have any experience using the UC module for VM Pro and installing it in an available slot on the IPO control unit? I am working on a quote and my vendor quoted me that as an option for VM Pro. I know Avaya tried this concept in the past and they eventually pulled it from availability. I was not aware until seeing this quote that it was an option again. My vendor told me it is a redesign from the original piece of hardware. My thoughts are to stick with a dedicated VM Pro server, but curious as to what everyone else thinks about the UC module.

Yes, there is a UCM v2 and so far it's proven to be much more reliable than the 1st gen one.

Licensing for it works a bit differently than the v1 model - you have to purchase a typical Preferred Edition license. The good thing about licensing this way is you can always go back to a separate Applications (VM Pro) server if you'd like to.

Thanks for the information!
