Originally sold customer an Abrivo 924 (same as X-Blue 45P.)

Upgraded system chips to use new X-Blue cordless phones and was told to use only U2 and U3 chips so I did and got stutter dial tones on all lines when I pressed a line button. SO....

I eventually upgraded to 9 lines and got latest new software and this time put in all THREE chips and...Stutter dial tone on all lines when you press a line button.

Has anyone else upgraded an Abrivo 924 to X-Blue 45P and seen this? The cabinets are identical and I have obviously defaulted the software twice.

Thanks for any references you may have. The customer is pretty much OK with the crazy dialtone that way but it seems weird and they don't have VM on all the lines, it is a 4 line rotary, two private lines and a third door type line.

Very unusual.....I wonder if Kill Roy will drop back and fill us in....this has been a real learning experience with this system you have been working on.... laugh
Uh, is it fair to ask how many names have been on the, now, X-blue 45P? And who originally and maybe still, makes it? Just curious. John C.
Its made by Tecom in Taiwan. It has a nice price point, not hard to program but then I have never had to do toll restriction on one. I think thiis s sold under different brand names in different countries and you can actually have little plates made up so you could sell it as the "Lightninghorse 9x24" phone system if you wanted.

It does have very extensive software. The same phones work on the 45P as the new 100 system so you are not stuck with a lot of phones if you outgrow 9 lines.

Biggest drawback is that there is no software backup, if you switch to newer software you reprogram everything all over again. Max system is 9 lines, 24 digital phones, 2 doorboxes and 2 single line phones or 4 single line phones.
Bunnie, I LIKE the look and sound of that!

"The New Lightninghorse 924 telephone system!"

Note that I didn't say improved like some of the idiot copy-writers! How can something brand new already be improved? If it is, why would you by it? Buy the next release that fixes all the bugs! smile John C.

Not true, download RMP from the website.

The hardware on the 45P/Abrivo 924 are identical, the only difference is the software. Software version F.40 and newer (currently F42) will run both The XBLUE and Abrivo telephones.

When updating XBLUE or Abrivo software which is older than F38, you must change the tone chip, which is located on the motherboard in the socket labeled US4, to F10. If this chip is not changed then some tones in the system will appear erratic in their operation.

Stutter Dial tone - The system should not give stutter dial tone on a CO Line regardless of which tone chip is installed. I hate to sound like an engineer but... Is the stutter tone heard when you dial 9 or when you press the CO line directly, or both? Also, if you take SLT port 34 or 35 and loop it back into the system, and press that button do you still hear the stutter dial tone? Finally, I am sure that you tried this, but did you go onto the RJ21X with your test set to see if the stutter tone is coming from the telephone line provider? With that said, some features such as DND will active a station stutter dial tone, but once the CO Line is pressed, that tone should not be heard.

The 45P system is sold under several different names, using the private label program. This allows dealers to build references and equity in their dealership, because now users are recommending your brand and not XBLUE’s. In addition, when the product is googled, only one dealer has your brand.
