Hi,
I have picked up a customer with a IDS 228 with CPU
eclipse 2.5.1.

They are having a problem with INTERNAL paging.
It will beep but no audio out of the phone speakers.
It WAS working then stopped. The customer shuts the
system of and turns it back on and then the page will work for a while. Any thoughts ????

If you have external paging also, try switching the station card with another one. Look for the card that is using the last pair, thats the audio path of external paging and each station card has one. Make sure the AMP connector is securly affixed to the station card.
I might think that the VCM might be the culprit, but could also be the processor. I would shut her down, after doing a backup, and pull each card making sure the chipsets are firmly inplace and reseat the cards.
I'm curious how often does it happen and if it effects the external paths.

I took out all the cards and put them back in and power up. So far everthing is working fine.
