I have a few groups that ring when the caller presses the appropriate digit, ie 1 for sales , 2 for acct etc. Caller ID is passing as it should however, on the second line on the phone we get "TRANSFER FM 300" not SALES or ACCOUNTING. This causes the receptionist to not know what prompt the caller has pressed and therefor cannot answer the phone appropriately. Thanks in advance.

I would monitor port activity and call in and press the digits you need. Port activity will tell what's going on.

you are more than likely having the vmail transfer out dialing an ext or an invalid entry.

more than likely 300 is your vmail port.

i would check that to start with.

Unfortunatly if you have the VM or AA transfering calls you will ALWAYS see that. Along with call for XXX

Solution: have the VM transfer lets say pressing one to a virtual ext then have the virtual transfer to the reception. Laber the virtual something they can identify. Do this for each selection and use a different virtual.

Now that I am thinking about it. It may be doing that already. Have you found out what ext 300 or grp 300 is?

300 is our BIVMS
From MMC108 300 is a member of Station group 29
(529 is the VM port)
The group names we need are in mmc601 an it is from these that the caller is being transferred.

I will monitor the port activity

The Menu input processor tells us:
Input value=2 action=goto
type=extension group=1
targetname=sales
