I have a customer with an FXII and a pc voicemail. Recently the voicemail to email function has stopped. The customer also is claiming that there isn't any envelope information when you listen to the messages on the phone. Does anyone have any ideas on fixing this.
Can't remember the exact folder off hand but there was a folder in the VM directory that would fill up and had to have contents deleted to restore the VM to email function. This was in 12.0 and 12.1 if I remember correctly.
It is the "c:/vm/ready" folder, and I have done that.
Did you stop and start VM services after cleaning out the ready file? Single message store or dual message store?
I did stop and start vm services. I don't remeber if it is single or dual. I think single.
I was out there today and it is single message store. However I now have an issue where noone knows the main password to get into the installer side of the database adminstrator. I know that there is a way to reset that, but it's been about 10 years since I've done it.
I've gotten the voicemail password reset. I have stopped and restarted services. But still the voicemail to email isn't working. I know that at one time another tech we had had done a patch to the system. the patch files are still on the hard drive, just have no idea how to deal with them or what they may or may not do. That tech is gone, and isn't in communcation any more. HEB isn't of any help on this either.
Sounds like your system is having a hard time resolving the email server address. Have seen this when companies change email service companies or the email hosts change their parameters. Been a while but I seem to remember it dealt with POP3 programming.
they didn't go to 360 email service did they? that will really throw off the game plan on that old system.
