ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO HAVE 1 EXT NO FOR 2 PHONES
WE HAVE 2 SITES WITH SIP TRUNKS JOINING
ONE OF THE STAFF TRAVELS BETWEEN THESE 2 SITES AND WOULD LIKE TO JUST HAVE 1 EXTENSION NO THAT WOULD RING ON BOTH SITES
I CANNOT PROGRAM AN MDN OR HUNT GROUP ACROSS THE IP
I CAN PROGRAM AN ACD GROUP WITH BOTH NUMBERS IN IT BUT CANNOT LOG IN THE PHONE THATS ON THE SECOND SITE
I COULD PUT A FORWARD ON 1 PHONE TO GO TO HE OTHER BUT THIS IS SLOW HE REALLY WANTS TO BE ABLE TO JUST LOG IN ON THE SITE HE IS IN FOR THAT DAY
SYSTEMS ARE BOTH EDA3.11 IPEX WITH TVSE CARDS AND SIP TRUNKS
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT CHEERS

Give him a IP phone that has the IP and gateway to the main set a PBX and DR main ext to both.

Oh and go easy on the ALL CAPS it looks like your yelling.

Great Idea SS. Wouldn't have though of that. Ya Give him an IP phone on the far side connect to the main side. Do PBX Mode or uses the Virtual DN Option. This way he could pull his EXT to the IP phone. Wouldn't matter if he's in a ACD, MDN or Hunt Group.
