Agree Granstream or Yearstar as they are cheap and work.

Wow. For a minute I thought I was trapped in a time warp. LOL

In 2022, I still love the Yeastar product, but the imminent demise of the S series IPPBX seems like a cruel trick and I am having a tough time warming up to the P series.

I'm going to be forced to like the Grandstream UCM as I sold two hospitality solution using this product. I hope it works :-) My first installation is next week.

It was overrated anyway!

A day or two in the field isn't a disaster. I still have a garage full of stuff to unload. By the end of September, it needs to be sold, given away, or sent to the scrapper. The market is pretty soft for old Partner and Panasonic phones.

When I retire, which could be in a year or two or less, I think I'd like to work a couple days a week. Not as much to affect Social Security payments, which I may take early.

If I had a small business, I'd probably buy a used proven TDM small system like a Partner or Panasonic. A year ago I was with a company that along with conventional TDM PBXs sold hosted VoIP. The latency (if I'm using the right word) or delay - was very significant.

The not so big secret is that Panasonic is discontinuing their TDM product. I have some TDA stuff, did not train on TDE or higher because I went to IPPBX's, and that, along with my driver's license is why I decided it was time. However, I still have about 7 functioning hospitality systems, a string of retail stores, and a few other Panasonic systems that I maintain.

I have a medium sized Panasonic customer that went hosted and he gave me back his system. That's part of my garage shelf collection. My undersized ham shed, office, is loaded with monitors, pc's, and current projects: the two Grandstream UCM's, my Raspberry Pi Incredible PBX system, my Yeastar S-series system, and various IP phones, and my Panasonic office system. Oh yeah, I have several Homaco 50M frames that will probably be sold for scrap.

In my slowdown, I'm interested in AREDN, Amateur Radio Emergency Data Network, but my spot in Ohio has a huge hole from Mansfield to anywhere! Maybe by the time I learn, I'll have company with other hams.

I heard that about Panasonic, only worked with a couple systems a few times. When I first read about the Panasonic customer I thought they gave you the IP system back! I've heard of that happening a couple times. It was quite a learning curve for some customers with square key systems, but I guess that's the way it is now - VoIP is more common.

The things you have in the shop would be fun to fool around with - or better yet, sell. Speaking of ham, I went to see if my old expired call sign was available after I let it expire years ago. I was so disappointed someone snagged. it. At the time in 1989, I had to pass a 5 word a minute Morse Code test along with the written test. Forgot what class - but it allowed me to be on 2 meters.

Nice you'll have more time to get more involved in things you like such as ham radio. I was lucky - I'm in Connecticut in a pretty good spot. I recall a friend keying up his H.T, a typical Kenwood 5-watt unit ... in my driveway and hitting the repeater on Mt. Greylock in Mass, right near the Vermont border. Then again - that tower is up there,

I'm late to the party on this discussion, but I've had great support and success with Ericsson-LG eMG100 platform. I've been with them since the LDK days and we have a lot of these systems running in small offices. We also have enterprise edition vUCP's and cloud instances of vUCP. I've installed as few as 4 or 5 extensions with SIP and CO lines. The support is excellent and the product is great quality.
