I have been fighting with it for some days, but still can't figure out how it works.

In 20-59-14 UC license level, it has 3 options: soft phone/Deskset/softphone+deskset.
In 20-59-15 UC login mode, it has softphone and deskset 2 options.

How to decide which option to be used?

And UC suite client also has softphone and deskset options, it could login as a softphone even 20-59-15 is set as deskset.

I am totally lost, any help?

Hi,
I you want to work properly first of all you need to install the server.

I played with UC Desktop Suite for 9100 and I need to populate MB 20-57 and 20-59.

Because my client have only Deskset solution I programmed the system:

20-59-14: Deskset
20-59-15: Deskset

Have a good day!

Yep, every customer that has an SV9100 so far. You need a server to make it work properly. If you don't have softphone licenses don't bother.

Thank you for your helpful reply, Cornel.

Yes, I have set up the server, it looks much better than without it.

when play with server, tech support told us not to touch 20-57.
I have tried all possibilities of 20-59-14 and 20-59-15, I think 20-59-15 is not used at all.
and if you set 20-59-14 as softphone+deskset, 20-59-15 as deskset, it looks you could get more functions which on the tool bar, such as data conference.

But I still have some issues, and I will post them later.

I have set the server up, and most of UC Suite client looks good, but I still have some issue to solve.

1. Virtual Extension is not showing in BLF tab. This is a big issue.

2. Desk set need ADA-L adaptor to record calls, as to softphone, it need computer support, it will bring more trouble to adjust these PCs.

3.Auto Headset/Handset icon looks to be reversed on digital phones, but not on IP phones.

4. If DHCP enabled for PC, it may be a issue when IP changed.

1. What is the appliation?

2. If you are recording calls and cannot use the voicemail you should be using a call recorder.

3. Never seen this but this feature is controled via the CTI device interface.

4. DHCP for the user or server? Should NEVER use DHCP for server. As of version 1.05 and 1.8 main psx software I have not seen an issue.

1. Virtual Extension is a extension number in the phone system which is not assigned to any physical phone but used for ring assignment.

2. I think UC suite have the recording function in built.

3. You need put a headset button on extension, otherwise it will not appears even you could find it in "tool buttons" tab.

4. I mean DHCP for user. For example, my UC suite used to login via WIFI, but cannot login if I enable NIC and disable WIFI.

Appreciate for your reply.

Ah,

1. VE doesn't need a physical key to be used for ring assignment nor depressed to answer said ring when programmed to pickup ringing VE.

2. The UC does have it for the softphone and I have used it successfully to record calls on the PC. I have never seen the analog TAP that you are using to do this but have heard of it. We have many large customers that record either to the PC, Call record key (78)or what we suggest if all calls, IP or trunk level recording system

3. Under CTI function on the UC server you can adjust the headset to pick up.

4. Interesting haven't run across that in the field as an issue.

No prob.

Thanks a lot, Coral.

My colleague said he saw VE key showed on BLF on some other's system, and he want it, there is why I am working on it.

Soft phones could record through UC suite on the PC, but digital ones need press a record key to record in VM (on the phone system). Why they cannot make it works on digital phones?
We know how it works, but sometimes it will annoy customers.
