We own the Sprint K3 Series Emerald Ice System.

When a call comes in, and someone is on the phone, the phone rings once and goes straight to voicemail.

We would like the phone to continue ringing and the ID show who is calling. Our dealer says it isn't possible. (but it was on our old Protege)

Is this possible and they be mistaken, or is there an add-on device we need to purchase, or are we just out of luck?

I saw the option to forward the calls to another extension, which we will do as a last resort. However, we prefer to have it the way it was on the old system.

Thanks!

Seems like all you need to do is turn off the call forward busy and only use cf/na vm.

I thought the same thing for the call forward busy, but don't know how to do it through the phone's admin feature.

Can I do it throught the phone's admin feature, or is there a way to turn it off per handset?

I went into the call forward per handset, but when I leave it blank it goes to voicemail.

I believe it's PRG 2 on the handset.

It is. Then I choose busy. Then it wants an extension number. It is currently blank which is forcing to voicemail. What do I enter to make it not roll?

You may need to have the change made with the programming software if it is set under the predefined call forward busy. I believe that is not changeable through the telephone.

That is my problem. They say this system does not support that.

Can anyone confirm if the system can turn off busy call forward?

The Call forward feature can be accessed in 2 places. One place is in the RMP programming software. The other way is through the phone it is active on by pressing PGM 2 and choose busy on the phone display of the phone you would like to change. The steps are in the user documentation. You can get that documentation from the manufacturers website if you do not have a copy of it.

The busy fwd was set by the installer in the Extension programming. That will not show when you press pgm 2. You need to get into the system program, go into extension application and skip down to p-fwd busy and change to none.

I decided to remove this post, forgot this public and not the installer forum.
