I recently re-installed a 1A2 system in my home. I ran a Rolm Redwood for about 5 years, which I loved but electrical rates have gone up significantly here in Connecticut. I know the Redwood drew a significant amount of power, and of course 1A2 at least has some functionality during a power failure. I use a Melco T-19 for various functions including a home brew circuit to dial 9 for an outside line. I was concerned about parts availability, I see at least one site in Texas that still stocks these items. I've be searching the web for other parts. I had no idea if there would still be anything out there, but there appears to be at least a little. Any recommendations for 1A2 parts sources?

several phone systems on the market today draw very little electric. As a matter of fact the NEC DS2000 4 slot cabinet loaded draws only 1 amp of power.

I think your 1a2 with all them lamps and bell ringers is sucking more juice then you think...

Use to be an outfit down in Florida that refurbed and sold cheap. Can't remember their name though, old age is creeping up. If I come across their name I'll let ya know.

I found a couple so far thanks. I've come across a couple of Elgin power supplies in closets lately. The customer has happy to have me remove them. I really wonder if there are businesses out there still using 1A2. If I recall a David Letterman show within the last year he took a phone call on the air, on his desk was a 2564 set. I wonder if it was a just a prop.

You can also try Blue Chip telecom, I believe they are located in California.
