Hi Folks My house currently wired for telephone and internet using CAT5. Now i want to install Intercom system in all the rooms. I did call up the installer who did the cat5 and he said that it is difficult to install for intercom. Is it true? Any other way to install the intercom system?
Regards, SR

You could install a telephone system. This would allow you to use your telephones as an intercom system. I know of a company in RTP.

Intercom system vary on what type of cable is needed. Some systems can use CAT5 cable and others require special cable.
I would do what jonathan sugested and put a phone system in. They have built in intercom capability.
If all else fails, use a BFH.
