You crack me up Jeff  You post something like this and get the guy's hopes up that he will be able to sell it. Next your going to ask where in Toledo it is and then say your dad put it in.

SS, everybody needs a straightman, stop teasing Jeff. smile
By the way, the only ZTD phones I saw, from 89 to 01, were black-and-white, and grey. What's the ash, yellowed white? John C.

AHHHH, we installed about 10 of those at 1 sight. I forgot about those, only they were ADIX. I didn't realize they were available for the ZTD. We only installed B&W and grey ZTD phones. I guess that's what happens when you are out in the boondocks in central KS. smile John C.

The ones I see most often are the gray ZTD phones...
ZT12KTS, ZT24KTS, etc.

The phone Jeff pictured is the ash ADIX KTD-2 (second generation ADIX)- it doesn't really resemble the first generation ZTD phones very much. The first generation are actually kinda neat looking-much better than the second generation sets, more of an almond color than ash.

The first generation were Black and White, from the factory. But they did yellow pretty rapidly, in the wrong place! And yes, I liked them, cosmetically, much better than the 2nd generation type. Hmm, just noticed the 1st gen ZTD phones bore a serious resemblance to the OMEGA IV 616 phones, DA, DAO, etc. It's been 8 years since I touched either one and NOW I notice it! John C.

The 616 is/was a good little system. There is a card next to the CPU that would cause a weird problem. IF the person you were talking to had call waiting on THEIR line and THEY got the battery break/beep/battery make, the 616 would drop the call, if that board had a problem! WAS THAT EVER FUN TO FIND! I know it sounds strange, but it happened to several different systems in the 12 years that I serviced them. We only used the HCPU, so I don't know if the basic CPU did it, too. John C.

The basic CPU version didn't have that little card next to it. The 'Utility Series' processor was almost bullet-proof.

I learned a lot about those systems doing a warehouse reorganization project at my dad's work this summer...there are a lot of cards for Iwatsu systems. We have everything from Omega III (Maybe even II) to the newest ECS stuff. Let me tell ya, those Omega III power supplies are HEAVY!
