We are going into private production of two-pair (actually four conductor) solid wire patch cables since they are so hard to get and expensive.

We will be producing 10 foot double-ended cables, ivory in color. 4 conductor modular plugs will be installed on both ends. These are NOT twisted pair, the cable is quad (green/red/black/yellow). They are excellent for use with Partner, Panasonic and Comdial systems.

Cables will be tested as a part of the manufacturing process. Price is $3.00 each, plus shipping and sales tax if applicable (VA/DC and MD). If you are interested, please e-mail or PM me and we can discuss the details.

That is a wonderful deal!
Does that include the VP discount?

We give twice that for them thru other vendors.

You mean when there's down time for your techs, you'll have them crimp til' their hearts' content.

Nope, no down time around here for the techs! Actually, I am hiring someone to do nothing but cable assembly since we use them so much.

Yeah,

But im sure he's the son or a son of a son of a hard working imigrant. So it all works out in the end.

Oh, Good Lord..........He is my son, I swear he is! I watched him being delivered and I am as Anglo as one gets! True, my wife's family has roots from Argentina, so I guess that I am possibly guilty of hiring some form of immigrant labor. He was born in Alexandria, VA in 1990!

Man, it's hard to believe that we actually have to think about this stuff these days, but I suppose that it's a sign of the times. Welcome to America?

Back to the original subject, do you want to buy any of these cords?

Well, we aren't talking rocket science here. It's just hard for >16 year-olds to land employment around here except for farm help.

I am looking to cover my material and packaging costs and throw a few coins in his pocket per-cable.

Ed

I'll keep you in mind next time I need some. Was getting them from the Sandman, but he has no quality control. Hopefully he doesn't send his goons out, since your muscling in on his territory. I'm sure that if quality isn't up to standard, you'll know how to handle it.

Ed, I'm curious what you use so many of them for?? What application, generally? And why solid, rather than stranded? Just curious.

Ed, may I presume to answer this one?

Part 2 first ----
Solid so it can be punched onto blocks.

Part 1 second ----
Any small KSU that has RJ outputs, ie., Partner, Spirit, Panasonic, Comdial, or, in reverse, from a punch block to a patch panel. Or just for the fun of it !

Me BAD .

:bang:

KLD wink

That about sums it up Ken. They have been used around here for decades to install Merlin and Partner systems. We also use them on small Panasonics.

Three thousand dollars each? Is that American dollars or Argentine dollars?

But seriously, folks...

Have any of you used the EZ-RJ45 and EZ-RJ12?
What do you think of these?

I use a amp ratcheting crimp tool , allen tel solid wire plugs and have no problems making them when i need them .

I like the look of 2 pair cross connect wire on the back board so thats what we normly use for partner and the like .

the problem I would have with the Ez is the availiblity of plugs .

$3 is a good price, Samsung was charging that for a 7 foot single end when you wanted extras for the 816 systems.
