Thanks in advance!

No, but you can do a "New (or clean) Install" from the XP disk and it's supposed to be the same thing as F-disking was in '98 but I don't believe it's as good as it was in the old days. But that's just my opinion!

It has been a long time since I needed to do that but I think if you really want to wipe a hard drive out you can slave it and then format it for a truly (supposedly) formatted disk.

Remember that formatting will not erase the data on the HDD, only make them appears as "deleted" items.

If you really... really want to delete it, I suggest a program called Darik's Boot and Nuke.

You can find it and information on it at the following link :

https://dban.sourceforge.net/

Quote
Darik's Boot and Nuke ("DBAN") is a self-contained boot disk that securely wipes the hard disks of most computers. DBAN will automatically and completely delete the contents of any hard disk that it can detect, which makes it an appropriate utility for bulk or emergency data destruction.

absolutely... of course, you can't use them on a system drive while within Windows, so you'll have to make a boot disk to do it from.

there are better tools though.

I have used DBAN several times and I definitely recommend it.
