Hello,
I've used this system in my office for many years. In my area there is not a single NEC dealer that will still work on Pro systems.
I recently had an issue with my (Lingo) voicemail , which seems to be ok now. The problem is that on my programming station, I can't get rid of the "Data Entry" display, and line #1 is lit constantly (and not useable). I'd be glad to pay anyone with knowledge of this setup to help me out over the phone with this, if answsering on this site is not practical.
Thanks,
Bob

Line 1 is siezed somewhere. Check all phones to see if one has green lit. If they are all red, you may need to unplug and reconnect system power. The "data entry" will not go away until system is idle, which won't happen until line 1 is released.

Power off, power on can solve your problem otherwise look for bad port #1 on Trunk card.

There is no trunk card on Pro I, there are 4 CO ports directly on motherboard.

Ok. I did the power down/up and it took care of the "data entry" issue. I'm having a problem with the 1st port on the Lingo. It picks up right away, but gives an immediate busy signal. The 2nd port of the lingo seems to work fine. I have (2) lingo units and tried them both. The 1st port #23 does the same thing on both. Also when the 2nd port #24 picks up, it does not release for several minutes after hangup. For some reason, the original NEC installer set the voicemail station #'s to #51 & #52 instead of 23 & 24. However, we always dialed #23 or #24 to access vmail. I'd be glad to pay for telephone tech support if anyone has experince with the Pro Level 1 / Lingo combination.

Lingo problem still.
Since I can't find a Lingo tech, I've been working on this thing for 2 days myself. I've got most of the settings back I think, but still a problem. When I dial into the lingo port, it answers but does not play the greeting. It holds for about 5 seconds and than I hear, "I'm sorry, I did not hear your selection, please enter now".
Same thing when I dial the Voicemail port direct.
If anyone can provide tech support with the Lingo system on a Pro Level 1, please message me.

The NEC "greeting" is still in the system because after I enter something it will play. My mailbox greeting is there because I can test it and it is fine. But neither message will play automatically upon transfer, or if you dial voicemail port.
Someone told me the voicemail ports need to be assigned #51 & 52. Does this sound correct? I've got the mailbox range from 10-59.

Greeting will play only if you dial from extension that doesn't have a MB otherwise it supposed to ask your Password. What happened if you dial from outside into system?

Same thing. It pauses, and than, "I'm sorry, I did not hear your selection, please enter your selection now".
If I hit the # key the greeting starts as normal. This is true on all calls to the port.
