I am trying to use SAT v4.5 to connect to an Elite 48 with firmware version 6.00. Each time I try to connect, it fails with a timeout message. I suspect the problem could be with the serial cable. I have seen a reference in the documentation that indicates it could be necessary to have a MIFM board installed in order to program via a PC. I am fairly sure that I have the baud rate, etc. set correctly. Any reference to the serial cable pinout would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Your SAT version must be the same or higher than the CPU you are trying to program. Yes, a MIFM card is needed to do PC programming. I really only use the SAT for backups. It is much easier to program the system via phone.

Thanks for the reply.

I will have access to a MIFM board in a few days. Will an older version of SAT not work at all with a newer version of firmware? Or will the new features just not be available through an older version of SAT? It seems that the memory locations for various features do not change from version to version, rather new features seem to result in the definition of new memory locations. Does SAT actually read the firmware version number and not connect if the firmware version is newer than the SAT version?

Thanks!

I have a Nec Electra Professional Level II and yesterday I get SAT software but appears to be for the Electra Elite IPK.

I have installed it this morning and when connecting to the kts with the adecuate communications parameters it shows "This program does not support this KTS version (SP75502) when running in IPK mode" and then disconnects form the KTS.

I have try in "<=S7000", ">=S8000" and "IPK" modes but the message is the same.

Does this mean that is not compatible?

Wich is the correct software for this KTS?

Regards
