The old timers around here called them "dikes"....(nothing to do with rosie o'donnell).. I think it was short for diagonal, as in "diagonal" pliers.
I lose them so often, I buy a couple at a time, of cheap ones.
No pouch will stop you from leaving them up in the ceiling
