Here's an odd one...
I work in a hardware store so I get a lot of unique requests. Today I got the weirdest one. A customer had a VTech cordless phone that broke. He has insurance on it, but in order to get a new phone, he needs a price quote to repair the phone. I know that repairing consumer electronics is hardly ever done. I told him I could write something official looking up with a repair estimate. Since I have no idea what it would cost to repair a 60 dollar cordless phone, what should I do? Is this a risk not worth taking, or should I just give a random number, email the guy something on a letterhead and be done with it? Let me know!
