I am trying to, when an extention does not answer, then the caller will be transfered to an external number, such as his/her cell phone, this would be done in lew of VM, Is here a procedure for this? I thought I could do it with non executive Mobex ports.

MOBEX requires a PRI or SIP Trunks. Just use the Follow Me feature in the mailbox.

Thank You Marc for the help. I have done the follow me, it works, but the end user doesn't want it supervised. they just want it to go to the cell phone voicemail if they do not answer. Any suggestions.
Thank You,
Mark

What do you mean they don't want it supervised?

You can set it up so that after XX rings it goes to VM. The VM says something along the lines of "One moment please while we connect your call" and the call is put on hold and then the cell phone is called.

That's the only way it can be done that I can think of without using MOBEX.

Thanks Marc, What I meant by supervised is when VM tranfers to the cell they answer the cell and hear "call from extention xxx press 1 to accept." if they dont accept it then it tranfers the call to the 7100 VM. The customer does not want to check the 7100 VM. They want to just have all there VM on the cell. I guess all they want is a blind transfer to an extenal number if they are not at their desk.

I thought I did that, nothing seems to work, I am thinking that forward n/a only goes to another ext.

Have you let the ext forward delay timer expire?

Thank You, When I started this, the first thing I did was do a forward/busy NA to a external number. I believe I even tried setting the timer to 1. I probably need to go revisit this. Am I correct in understanding that this should work, do I deed to add group 9 to the Number? Also does it make adifference for an incoming call to be int or ext?

Yes you need to use group 9 before the number and yes it does make a diffrence if it is an incoming call or internal. If you want internal calls to forward external you need to turn on icm ext fwrd. Also you may want to set the timer longer than 1 I have found out the system has a hard time processing the call that fast.
